Job Description
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of packaged batteries for hybrid-electric aircraft propulsion architectures.
- This involves optimizing and installing battery systems that meet the unique requirements of hybrid aircraft propulsion.
- Conduct cutting-edge research on emerging battery technologies suitable for hybrid electric propulsion systems considering different chemistry types and cell formats.
- Design battery pack for optimal performance using software and hardware simulation and testing solutions.
- Execute hands-on battery experiments, including assembly, testing, and analysis of battery cells and packs.
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, ensuring all experiments are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including chemicals and supplies, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Collect, record, and analyze experimental data, preparing detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate battery technologies into hybrid electric propulsion systems, ensuring compatibility and optimization.
- Stay abreast of advancements in battery technology for aerospace applications to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Assist in publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals and conferences proceedings.
