BIM ARCHITECT

THE PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The purpose of the job of a BIM Architect is to utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to design plan and manage construction projects. BIM Architects play a crucial role in the architecture engineering and construction (AEC) industry by creating and managing digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of buildings. Their responsibilities ensure that projects are accurately designed efficiently executed and effectively managed throughout the entire lifecycle.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the of BIM processes on a daytoday basis.
• Provide support to the architectural design team and management staff.
• Perform original design work using BIM specifications sketches and ideas.
• Conduct preliminary studies of proposed projects to gather information on space and design requirements.
• Prepare layout and preliminary BIM models for client presentations.
• Develop BIM design concepts and approaches according to project criteria and architectural standards.
• Analyze space utilization effectiveness and changing demands recommending actions to meet new requirements.
• Compile data for architectural plans specifications and reports using BIM software.
• Prepare BIM models and detailed drawings required for contract documentation.
• Coordinate the development of detailed working BIM models and specifications.
• Assist with coordinating the bid process and reviewing BIMrelated submissions.
• Review shop drawings specifications and material recommendations to ensure adherence to contract requirements.
• Prepare record drawings on completion of construction using BIM software.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a BIM Architect
• Existing UAE experience working for an Architectural Consultancy.
• Highrise mixed use experience (hospitality residential commercial).
• Experience in Concept strong in Schematic stages and Detailed Design stages.
• Proficient in BIM software such as Revit (essential at a professional level) AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Experience with additional tools like Dynamo SketchUp and Rhino would be an added advantage.
• Conversant with international codes and standards for building design and BIM implementation.
• Familiarity with quality assurance/quality control procedures applicable to BIM processes.
• Excellent design technical and presentation skills within a BIM environment.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
• Selfmotivated proactive and capable of working autonomously within a BIM framework.
• Flexible open to new ideas and feedback.
• Strong communication skills with team members Senior Architects and management.
• Ability to develop and maintain BIM standards and protocols.
• Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary BIM projects.
