MECHANICAL INSPECTOR

We are looking for an experienced and detailoriented Mechanical Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical inspections and experience working with engineering consultancies. The Mechanical Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that mechanical installations equipment and systems meet all relevant codes standards and project specifications. This role involves reviewing mechanical design drawings conducting inspections and tests and providing technical support to project teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform thorough inspections of mechanical installations equipment and systems to verify compliance with local and international codes standards and project specifications.
• Review mechanical design drawings specifications and documentation for accuracy completeness and compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
• Conduct tests and checks on mechanical components and systems to ensure proper functionality safety and adherence to project requirements.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings discrepancies and recommendations. Maintain accurate and organized records of all inspections and test results.
• Provide technical support to project teams and clients on mechanical compliance issues assisting in the resolution of any identified nonconformances.
• Monitor ongoing construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings specifications and safety standards.
• Coordinate with project managers contractors and other stakeholders to address any issues related to mechanical installations and inspections.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance and control procedures for mechanical works.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Candidates MUST be immediately available and currently based in the UAE
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Mechanical Inspector in an engineering consultancy environment.
• Indepth knowledge of mechanical codes standards (such as ASME API) and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and reportwriting skills.
• Relevant certifications in mechanical inspection or safety are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with inspection and reporting software tools is an advantage.
• Ability to work onsite and perform inspections in various conditions including working at heights and in confined spaces.
