Job Overview: The ERP Functional Consultant is responsible for understanding a clients business processes and requirements configuring the ERP system to meet those needs and ensuring the successful implementation and optimization of the system. This role requires both technical and business expertise to bridge the gap between client requirements and ERP functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement:
- Act as the primary liaison between the client and the ERP implementation team.
- Conduct meetings with clients to gather and document business requirements.
- Analyze and understand the clients current business processes and workflows.
System Configuration:
- Configure the ERP system to align with client requirements and business processes.
- Customize the system to handle specific client needs including modules workflows and reports.
Process Improvement:
- Recommend best practices and process improvements based on industry standards and ERP capabilities.
- Assist clients in optimizing their business processes through the ERP system.
Implementation Support:
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure the system meets functional requirements.
- Support data migration and integration efforts ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Provide enduser training and support to facilitate smooth system adoption.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
- Address and resolve functional issues and system discrepancies reported by users.
- Work closely with technical teams to address any software bugs or performance issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of configuration settings processes and procedures.
- Develop user manuals training materials and system documentation.
Project Management:
- Manage project timelines deliverables and client expectations.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with ERP system updates new features and industry trends.
- Provide recommendations for system enhancements and upgrades.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Information Systems Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as an ERP Functional Consultant or similar role with a strong understanding of ERP systems such as SAP Oracle Microsoft Dynamics or similar.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Proficiency in ERP modules related to finance supply chain manufacturing HR or other relevant areas.
- Experience with data migration integration and reporting tools.
- Certifications: ERP systemspecific certifications may be required or preferred.
