Job Description
- Performs engineering design review activities and planning for all city gas distribution networks and gas facilities (LPG/SNG/NG/CNG/LCNG) projects. This includes cost estimations, budget preparation, project planning and review of work packages, to ensure the required engineering procedures in line with best industry practices based on approved applicable standards and regulations.
- Perform Vendors, Contractors, Consultants and TPI's Pre-qualification Process, and technical evaluation. Provides professional know-how in Tenders Preparations, Bidding Processes, Bids Technical and Commercial Evaluation. Participates in the construction, operations, maintenance and contracts preparation activities as required.
- Development of the scope of work, BOQ, and technical specifications of all GAS networks and facilities Projects activities ensuring that latest approved technologies are applied and in compliance with applicable international standards.
- Develop and update Engineering Procedure / guidelines in line with latest international standards.
- Ensures that Engineering and designs submitted through EPC contractors and technical consultants are in accordance with the Scope of Work and meeting Company expectation with regards to quality, application of proven and reliable state of the art technology and incorporation of Lesson Learnt on completed and ongoing Projects.
- Organizes and supervise the implementation of best practice for gas network and facilities design activities ensuring that latest approved technologies are applied and in compliance with applicable international standards. Organizes and supervise the new techniques to minimize construction timing and public interruption.
- Develops and manages scope of work and deliverables for projects consultants, licensor and engineering contractors for services in related fields as required. Directs and controls scope changes that maybe required during projects implementation phases in terms of technical validity and cost effectiveness.
- Carries out their duties in accordance with specifications and Company policies and regulations.
