Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their prestigious university in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of the institution providing strategic financial guidance and ensuring the financial stability and growth of the university.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the universitys financial strategy ensuring alignment with the institutions overall goals and objectives.
• Oversee all financial operations including budgeting forecasting financial reporting and auditing.
• Manage the preparation of financial statements in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Provide strategic financial advice to the universitys executive team and board of directors.
• Lead financial planning and analysis to support longterm financial sustainability and growth.
• Ensure robust financial controls and risk management practices are in place and adhered to.
• Oversee investment strategies manage cash flow and optimize the universitys financial resources.
• Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to develop and manage budgets.
• Monitor and report on financial performance identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors banks and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Drive financial initiatives to support the universitys mission and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CPA ACCA CMA) is essential.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role preferably in the education sector.
• Indepth knowledge of financial regulations accounting standards and financial management principles.
• Strong strategic thinking analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in financial planning analysis and reporting.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the education sector particularly in a university setting.
• Knowledge of the financial landscape in Dubai and the broader UAE region.
• Experience in overseeing financial operations in a taxfree environment.
