Job Description

Doka is currently looking for a Procurement Officer Middle East & Africa to join its versatile team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. This position requires an enthusiastic individual who is a strong communicator and has extensive experience in operational procurement.

In a business environment the operational procurement function is one of the most critical ones. As the Procurement Officer Middle East & Africa you will be responsible for all purchasing activities including all tactical & Strategical procurement tasks and administrative duties in the MEA region. The region includes the countries UAE Oman Qatar Kuwait Saudi Arabia Turkey Egypt and some export markets in Africa.

You will be reporting directly to the Team Leader Operational Procurement Middle East Africa & Asia Pacific.


  • Handling the daily purchase requirement.
  • Ensuring compliance during the full P2P process according to Global PCM guidelines.
  • Ensuring timely coordination with internal and external stakeholders to be carried out complying with the established procurement policies and processes.
  • Aligning with the goals and objectives set out by the business requirements.
  • Working with stakeholder to assess demand and scheduling.
  • Regular follow up on orders to expedite / ensure timely deliveries (manage rescheduling wherever necessary).
  • Carrying out RFI/RFQs and making meaningful comparison suggesting best recommendations.
  • Working closely with members representing the strategic procurement to develop and implement P2P initiatives to reduce transaction costs consolidate volume and create efficiency.
  • Managing and resolving complaints/claims.
  • Upkeeping and maintaining Master Data base.
  • Assisting with the preparation of new vendor registration
  • Uploading all new vendor documentation successfully into the system.
  • Any other duties or tasks assigned to you by your superior.

Qualifications

  • A technical commercial or purchasing qualification or equivalent (or appropriate experience)
  • Minimum of three years work experience in operational procurement
  • Experience in customer service/procurement with the ability to resolve complex situations and order fulfillment issues.
  • Operational procurement knowledge with a solid understanding of the purchase to pay process.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel Word and Outlook.
  • Knowledge in SAP/R3Ariba system is highly desirable.
  • Outstanding communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong collaborative skills positive attitude and a high energy level.
  • Strong ability to build relationships and networks with all stakeholders.
  • Technical knowledge to recognize and identify similar products.
  • Confident in English both spoken and written.
