Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for patients undergoing cardiac surgeries, including coronary artery bypass, valve replacement, and heart transplants
• Monitor patients' vital signs and make necessary adjustments to anesthesia levels
• Administer medications and fluids as needed during surgery
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Communicate with patients and their families before and after surgery, providing information about the anesthesia process and addressing any concerns
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiac anesthesia techniques and technology
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to emergency situations
  

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree
• Completed residency training in anesthesiology
• Board certification in anesthesiology and subspecialty certification in cardiac anesthesia
• Current state medical license and DEA registration
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology
• Excellent decision-making and critical thinking skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
