Job Description
- Provide technical support for the repair and overhaul of rotating equipment, including dismantling, diagnosing, assembling, testing, and issuing related technical reports.
- Offer technical consultation to Shops Operating Repair Units and Contractor Shops.
- Support field installation, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and modify existing equipment, while identifying cost reductions and process improvements.
- Prepare design engineering packages for rotating equipment.
- Conduct technical investigations for shop repair return jobs to identify root causes, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
- Introduce and apply the latest technology in repair methodology.
- Develop and revise the department's technical procedures and standards.
- Mentor and share knowledge with junior engineers, quality inspectors, and technicians.
- Provide technical input for purchasing specifications and evaluate technical proposals.
- Collaborate with department engineers, Consulting Services Department (CSD), other company departments, and manufacturers.
- Coordinate with In-House Repair Units, Quality Assurance units, In-Kingdom Contractors, vendors, and manufacturers for shop repair work scopes.
- Participate in vendor and customer exchange meetings.
