Job Title: MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR Salary 85K to 95K

JOB SUMMARY:
Plans, directs and coordinates all activities relating to maintenance operations across all shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports production in reducing and eliminating equipment/tooling downtime and s utilizing good analytical methodologies (solid experience in preventive/predictive maintenance, spare parts inventory, plc upgrades, electrical).
Supervises maintenance employees across all shifts ensuring that they are trained as required and performing satisfactorily and mechanical troubleshooting.
Maintains and issues daily job assignments; records and evaluates the results of Preventive Maintenance.
Provides production support by troubleshooting and resolving machine PLC related issues
Establishes project plans and spare parts inventory to ensure equipment and tooling is operating in a safe manner and maintained properly.
Establishes and maintains a disaster recovery plan for current equipment, tooling and projects.
Participates as a member of the division s safety committee.
Responds to safety work orders and action items in a timely manner.
Monitors, maintains and records employee time related to the Attendance and Time-Off Policies (e.g. vacation, medical day, bereavement, jury duty, etc). Records approved time-off requests in E-Time; and ensures required time-off requests with supporting documentation are processed completely and timely.
Provides timely feedback on work performance including completion of performance reviews based on established schedule.
Supports and enforces the principles of the Employee Charter, Company goals and objectives, and decisions and policies by taking ownership and communicating these in a positive, supportive manner.
Works with contractors on projects.
Generates purchase orders as well as order spare parts
Checks-in new equipment, generates PM s and ensures spare parts are ordered.
Ensures Company policies and procedures are adhered to. Collaborates with the Department Manager and Human Resources Manager in the administration of disciplinary action, when necessary.
Displays a positive attitude towards safety, works safely and follows all the Companys safety policies and procedures.
Complies with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards in accordance with the LM Manufacturing Employee Charter, the Occupational Health & Safety Act and the Michigan Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Ensures all employees and visitors have a safe environment in that all hazards, unsafe actions, or unsafe conditions have been identified, corrected, and/or eliminated.
Enforces safety rules, policies, and procedures consistently.
Responds to and investigates all reports of injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses and property damage immediately.
Thoroughly trains new and transferred employees, corrects or commends employee s health and safety performance, and addresses employee s safety performance in scheduled performance appraisals.
Takes an active part in the division s safety program by performing regular workplace inspections, effectively investigates accidents/incidents promptly, and assists in meeting or exceeding the division s safety goals.

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred Education/Certification/Licensure/Experience:
Trade school certified as an Industrial Electrician/Mechanic.
Powdered Industrial Truck Permit and Aerial Work Permit (requires passing scores on the Powered Industrial Truck and Aerial Work training tests administered by LM Manufacturing).
Required Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years experience within the industrial maintenance setting.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor within the automotive manufacturing sector including production, facility, preventive maintenance and spare parts management.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, PLC, Robotics.
Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools; and shop tools including lathe, Bridgeport and band saw.
Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC controls, including RSLogix500 and RSLogix5000 platforms, RSLogix, Panelview and Panelview Plus HMI applications.
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Team oriented, communicates well with others and able to interact with people at all levels and departments including outside contractors (e.g. mechanical and construction).
Excellent problem solving and leadership skills.
Detail oriented and excellent documentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex tasks within and across departments/business units.
Working knowledge of safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
Ability to be trained/developed for future internal assignments and/or opportunities.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Work performed in a manufacturing plant environment. Exposed to varying temperature within plant depending upon external weather conditions. Continuously exposed to airborne particles, odors, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes and noise. Occasionally works in high precarious places (e.g. roofs, scissor lifts) and in outside weather conditions. Continuously operates hand, power and shop tools. Continuously grips/grasps, pushes/pulls, bends/stoops, crouches, crawls/kneels and stands. Frequently climbs, reaches above shoulder level, stands, and lifts and carries up to twenty five (25) lbs. Ability to work long hours and on weekends as needed.
