Job Description
- Technical Analysis
- Review project specifications, scope of work, single line diagrams, protection logic diagrams, and existing system data thoroughly.
- Seek technical clarifications internally or externally with the customer as needed.
- Customer Site Engagement
- Conduct site visits to analyze retrofit design solutions.
- Prepare site survey reports, method of statements, risk assessments, and SAT formats.
- Base Design Preparation
- Create base design documents in accordance with Siemens engineering standards, including AC/DC load checks, CT&VT adequacy checks, technical data sheets, and specification compliance.
- Prepare Protection relay lists, SCMS, FMS, and RTU equipment lists.
- Develop SCMS architecture, signal lists, FDS (Functional Design Specification), cable schedules, etc.
- Address any clarifications / solution to customer under the guidance of the Engineering Manager/Application Manager
- Detailed Design Documentation
- Guide assistants in preparing detailed design documents for Protection, FMS, RTU, and SCMS panels as per Siemens standards.
- Design General Arrangements, scheme drawings, terminal plans, label lists, wiring tables, and ferrule lists using tools like A-CAD, ELCAD, EBASE, and MS office.
- Execute retrofit designs on PDF scheme pages based on customer requirements.
- Prepare BOQs for ordering based on design approvals.
- Update as-manufactured and as-built drawings.
- Address any clarifications / solution to customer under the guidance of the
- Engineering Manager/Application Manager
- RFQ/IFC Preparation & Review and Coordination
