Associate Engineer - Fixed Field Maintenance

Overview:

1. Handle Fixed Network Operation & Maintenance activities including optical/electrical circuit Provision Cessations Rerouting & Network failures due to traffic & Hardware.

2. Attend assigned major/nonroutine tasks related to Core Access & Fiber Network under supervision & guidance of seniors.

3. Use various types of test equipment to localize & rectify faults.

4. Perform installation of fiber optic equipment and ODF patch panels.

5. Experience in transmission & IP equipment including Cisco routers switches SDH DWDM firewall etc.

6. Attend and clear faults reported by NOCs related to transmission & Fiber network using analyzer light source & Power meter.

7. Perform ODTR testing for locating FO cable faults and during cable outages.

8. Support maintenance activities like acceptance testing (ATP ACL etc.) of new FO Cables & network nodes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Diploma Degree in Engineering and/or Telecommunications and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4 years experience in field operation and maintenance of Telecom networks.
• Preferred Language: English.
