- Repair, maintenance & test of cranes & lifting equipment inc. but not limited to hook blocks, balls & swivels, gearboxes, overload protection units, and spooler units.
- Conduct independently offshore crane condition evaluations.
- Provide accurate identification of all components, report on conditions and provide sufficient information to order correct spare parts.
- Ensure workshop is kept clean & tidy and all company equipment is kept in good order
- Ensure project requirements are met within the time allowed
- Ensure constant improvement of safety, performance, and quality standards
- Ensure all ongoing work is correctly risk assessed and identify/action new assessments
- Work as part of a team with other departments
- Uphold the standards of the company and work in line with the company's objectives.
Recognized Qualifications And Experience
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in mechanical operations or maintenance, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Mechanical diploma or equivalent (SVQ, city & guilds etc.)
- Must have excellent leadership skills and be able to motivate staff for teamwork.
- Good in English language (reading, writing and communication skills).
- Good working knowledge of MS office programs.
- Experience in repair & maintenance of cranes related equipment.
- Experience in working to schedules
