Job Description

Hotelier Middle East the hospitality industry s goto source for news features analysis and trends in the region is looking for a tenacious Editor.

The ideal candidate will lead its marketleading digital print and social content and drive subscriptions to the Hotelier website as well as growing the overall audience.

Alongside an indepth knowledge of the Middle East s hospitality sector the Editor should be bursting with big ideas for new executions and brand extensions that deliver value Hotelier Middle East s loyal and discerning audience and the brand as a whole

Requirements

Key responsibilities
  • Lead Hotelier Middle East s editorial content across digital social video print and events.
  • Plan write edit and commission content towards an editorial calendar ensuring daily weekly and monthly content goals and targets are met.
  • Drive and deliver audience growth across Hotelier Middle East s digital and social platforms.
  • Collaborate with Editors on sister titles including Caterer Middle East to identify new content opportunities across brands.
  • Use ITP Media Group s analytics tools to compile weekly reports on content performance identifying trends / patterns and using insights to inform future content strategy.
  • Work with a central video department to develop Hotelier Middle East s video proposition across social platforms.
  • Work with a central events department to deliver exceptional annual Awards properties and adhoc events across the region and identify new activations that add value to our brands audience and clients.
  • Support the Group Editor and Editorial Director by acting as a senior editorial face of ITP Media Group s Hospitality division externally by establishing strong relationships in the industry and internally by developing a strong reputation for project management and collaboration.
  • Support Hotelier Middle East s commercial team by collaborating on projects that assist with revenue growth.
  • Occasionally attend events outside of office hours.

  • Flexible understands the fastpaced nature of the media landscape and is comfortable pivoting when priorities change.
Experience & qualifications
  • At least two years in a senior editorial role or equivalent.
  • Handson multimedia experience (digital social video print).
  • Experience working with a CMS and SEO tools as well as Adobe InDesign.
  • Understanding of the Middle East s dynamic diverse cultural identity and hospitality sector
