Title and Summary
Manager Product Management
Manager Product Management Mastercard Payment Gateway Services (MPGS)

The MPGS regional product management team is part of a regional product function at the centre of payments innovation delivering leading customer experiences through our connected gateway. As part of this remit the team is responsible for defining the strategy and executing the delivery of marketleading payment gateway products & valueadded services to our acquirers and merchants.

Overview

The Product Manager will support the Product Management team in evolving our portfolio of Domestic Scheme Mobile Wallets and Alternate Payment Methods supported across our MPGS offering. He/She will work closely with our Global and Regional Product Directors and regional leads to determine market needs and roll out suitable products and solutions that will enrich our local payment offerings across key markets.

Product Managers in Mastercard Gateway Payment Services
  • Translate a deep understanding of our customers into products and solutions that drive significant customer value
  • Balance the longterm direction of a product with todays needs and constraints by fully understanding the technical competitive and commercial contexts of our products
  • Own the engagement with Domestic Schemes and APM providers for Mastercard Gateway in partnership with the market teams across EEMEA and be the connector to ensure the commercial success of this product while ensuring technical success through close partnership with Technology teams
  • Drive globallyrelevant solutions by understanding regional needs and tradeoffs and build scalable products that serve an array of customer segments
  • Set product direction with coordination not isolationtaking into account how our products all work together to serve customer needs

Role
  • Prioritize development efforts as they align against product strategy
  • Design and conduct user research including customer interviews in order to deepen understanding of customers pain points motivations and opportunities
  • Ensure consistent alignment between business priorities and development objectives
  • Oversee timely and highquality execution of creation of technical requirements
  • Drive the GoToMarket and commercialization of our solutions for Domestic Scheme Mobile wallets and Alternate Payment Method products suite
  • Build strong working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to achieve product goals

All About You
  • Agile product management experience in payment products or related discipline
  • Experience in managing solutions designed for payments or a related financial services sectors preferred.
  • Analytical solutionsoriented skillset with the ability to drive thought leadership.
  • Experience designing executing and distilling user research to drive value for the customer an outstanding user experience and stickiness
  • Keen understanding of competitive offerings and industry trends in the selfservice analytics space and the ability to translate that understanding into meaningful actions and enhancements
  • Proven track record collaborating in crossfunctional teams to deliver outstanding products and features
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interface with clients
  • Highly organized and able to deal with multiple and competing priorities
  • Knowledge and skills using product management tools (e.g. market and product plans project timelines marketing research pricing business case development)
  • Bachelors degree in business or relevant experience
  • Technical background (e.g. Computer Science or related field) a plus
  • Advanced degree is helpful
