Your key responsibilities will include:
- Handle the programming and administration of the BMS systems according to the needs and requirements to support the accurate operation of the facilities and the management of the desired temperature, lighting, and operation of facilities.
- Plan and coordinate the reprogramming / upgrading of the BMS systems through installing new hardware and software’s to improve operational efficiency and enable energy savings.
- Participate in the scheduling and effective of the preventative maintenance of the HVAC / Electrical / Mechanical / Plumbing infrastructure by managing accordingly the BMS system and coordinating with all relevant parties for the effective of the maintenance activities.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of the BMS systems to maintain their functionality and compliance with operating standards.
- Monitor and record the values and data reported in the BMS system identifying areas for improvement and suggesting alterations in the programming of the system that will improve the qualitative and cost-efficient operation of the facilities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Jumeirah Group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests.
- Implement approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures, and provide instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a quality service to guests and maintaining standards of excellence.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any other relevant field
- 5+ year of relevant exposure in the hospitality sector
- Water management: Knowledge regarding related chemicals, their application and impact on water systems.
- Legionella management: The position will be the delegated responsibility for legionella management, this has legal implications.
- Firefighting systems: Knowledge in understanding the regulatory requirements in order to manage the AMC associated with this specialist function.
- Electrical systems: Electrical safety as a minimum
- Mechanical systems: Understands HVAC systems, Plumbing systems and pumping systems.
