Estimation Proposals Manager

We are seeking an Estimation & Proposals Manager (OIL & GAS background) to join our prestigious clients team in Abu Dhabi.

Job Summary: The Estimation and Proposals Manager is responsible for managing the tendering process which includes the review and approval of bids prepared by the proposal engineers accurately estimating the costs and submitting the tenders. This involves analyzing project specifications conducting site visits and collaborating with engineers and other stakeholders to determine the scope of work and resource requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the management of complete proposal / estimating activities of projects being tendered for large integrated Mechanical Electrical & Instrumentation and Civil projects exclusively in Oil & Gas Power Solar and Petrochemical sectors.
• Ensure that the estimation and proposals team has a robust cost estimating / proposal process in place to meet the company growth strategy.
• Identify and evaluate risks in all major tenders and develop strategies in place to manage the risks during estimation process.
• Utilize cost methodologies and tools and appropriate software models and packages to prepare and maintain reliable and accurate data.
• Overseeing the tender preparation and lead the presentation to the tender board for necessary approvals based on DOA.
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice cost estimating vision strategy processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
• Review analyze the win/loss ratio and develop historical information lesson learnt and make recommendations for the process improvement.
• Analyze update and capture the market intel and incorporate those in the estimations.
• Manage coach and develop a high performing estimation and tendering team that meets agreed objectives delivers best practice results added value and continuous improvements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Internal and external stakeholders to ensure Optimal performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• A minimum 10 years of Oil & gas experience in a reputed company is required.
• Knowledge in estimation software would be an added advantage.
• An energetic forwardthinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
• A strategic visionary with sound technical skills analytical ability good judgment and strong operational focus.
• An articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
