• Meet with students to discuss academic goals, concerns, and progress
  
• Provide guidance and support to students on course selection, academic planning, and degree requirements
  
• Collaborate with faculty and academic support staff to ensure students have access to necessary resources and support services
  
• Monitor and track student progress and intervene as needed to ensure academic success
  
• Provide information and guidance on academic policies, procedures, and regulations
  
• Assist students with navigating the university system, including registration, financial aid, and other administrative processes
  
• Participate in student retention initiatives and work to increase student engagement and success
  
• Stay up-to-date on trends and changes in higher education and academic advising best practices

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in a related field, such as education, counseling, or psychology
  
• 2+ years of experience in academic advising or a related field
  
• Knowledge of academic programs, policies, and procedures
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
  
• Familiarity with student information systems and other relevant software
  
• Understanding of student development theory and its application to academic advising
