Responsibilities
The Head of Media Relations will collaborate with various departments across the companys digital publication portfolio focusing on strategic communications including media relations crisis management online brand reputation management corporate communications and more.
- Guide the strategic direction of corporate communications encompassing Media Relations Marketing Communications and Crisis Management.
- Develop communication strategies in partnership with the executive team ensuring a consistent and effective approach across social media the company website and other communication channels for both internal and external audiences.
- Create comprehensive communication plans aligned with our purpose and vision supporting content strategies to engage stakeholders build trust shape corporate reputation boost morale and drive positive business outcomes.
- Enhance SEO and online brand reputation management for the companys brands.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand audience perspectives and craft effective companywide and targeted messages.
- Serve as the companys media representative.
- Oversee editorial review and provide expert guidance on strategic messaging and corporate materials.
- Establish communication best practices to aid internal teams in change management and message reinforcement.
- Partner with the executive team on special projects impacting Corporate Communications internally and externally.
- Work with the CEO and senior leadership to develop and implement an integrated communication strategy.
- Support internal meetings and events with planning logistics messaging and materials.
- Measure and report on communication activities.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have a track record in corporate communications leadership working closely with executives and demonstrating strong writing and public speaking abilities.
- Previous seniorlevel experience in corporate communications leadership.
- Proven track record in planning and leading strategic initiatives.
- Executive presence and the ability to engage with CEOs executive teams and board members.
- Strong business acumen and attention to detail.
- Capability to translate complex information into clear and concise messages.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing communication strategies.
- Ability to build consensus through effective communication and datadriven insights.
- Highly organized and detailoriented.
- Excellent management and collaboration skills.
- Capacity to influence and engage both direct and indirect reports and peers.
