Sourcing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select suppliers based on their ability to meet product and project specifications, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and define sourcing requirements.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with the company's business goals.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the best quality, cost, and delivery times.
• Continuously monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans.
• Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and strategies to improve procurement efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with the company's policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
• Use ERP systems for managing and streamlining procurement processes.
  

Qualifications

*** Bilingual Chinese or Mandarin preferred ***

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with global procurement of copper pipe, steel, joint processing, standard fasteners or sheet metal related.
• Proven experience with HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical design, and central air conditioning technologies.
• Strong knowledge of global procurement processes and strategies.
• Experience with data center cooling is a plus.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems for procurement.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
