Key Result Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall provision of building, facilities, and related equipment maintenance services.
- Monitoring build progress, project scheduling & reporting and ensuring project quality
- Ensuring permits and legal compliance are secured ahead of the project
- Contribute to strategic planning by evaluating and projecting future facility needs and proposing options to achieve them.
- Oversee site and infrastructure projects performed by outside contractors; conducts regular site visits and spot checks, capital and operational budget reviews and variation analysis, and reports findings to mitigate risks.
- Contributes to the procurement, vendor selection, negotiation, and evaluation process.
- Develop business cases and plans for further approval related to improvements, upgrades, new facilities etc. Ensures that the initiated projects are managed and completed satisfactorily, by liaising with the required team of qualified experts like architects, planners, specialist consultants, ensuring that budget and agreed timelines are met.
- Ensure compliance with current Health & Safety Regulations relevant to the industry and to keep abreast of any changes.
- Develops policies, procedures and protocols and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Prepares an annual business plan including budgeting plan; identifies and manages the delegated budget responsibilities; incurs, authorizes, and controls expenditure.
- Manages human, financial and physical resources effectively in order to ensure they meet service standards and that the respective areas of business are meeting agreed KPIs and objectives and effectively cater for business requirements.
- Works closely with the Legal, Contracts and Procurement Teams to ensure Company’s compliance with regulatory and statuary requirements in all contractual matters.
- Assigns and delegates responsibilities to subordinate members. Leads and reviews their performance and progress in line with set objectives. Spends time coaching and guiding them to drive high performance
Qualifications & Experience
- 15+ years’ relevant experience in civil constructions specifically with industrial, commercial, residential building project management and facilities management experience for commercial and non-commercial properties. Of which, a minimum of 5 years in a management role in GCC , in a mid-sized organization operating on a regional/multinational level.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Construction Management or equivalent from a recognized university; MBA is preferred.
- Post graduate qualification in Project Management would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in leading major construction of multimillions projects.
- Must have proven leadership ability, in managing and motivating a core team
- Have excellent communications skills with strong interpersonal skills, Fluent in English Language (Arabic would be advantageous)
- Must be able to develop strong relationships with clients.
- Infrastructure lifecycle management, cost control, contract & vendor management, project management, financial analysis, are an added value.
