Position: IT Director
About the Role: Are you passionate about harnessing technology to drive organizational success? We're seeking an experienced IT Director to lead our technology initiatives in alignment with our business goals. As the IT Director, you'll oversee all aspects of our IT operations, from strategic planning to day-to-day management, ensuring seamless integration of technology solutions across departments.
This is a direct hire position that will pay between $150,000-$175,000 and will be a hybrid schedule located in Minneapolis, MN.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Lead the strategic planning efforts of the IT department, fostering innovation and allocating resources effectively to support business objectives.
- Technology Governance: Provide overall governance for IT activities, working closely with stakeholders to identify and implement new technologies and applications.
- Project Management: Oversee all IT projects to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of objectives, while also managing financial aspects such as budgeting and purchasing.
- Policy Development: Define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring compliance and security standards are met.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and service agreements, staying informed about the latest technology trends and advancements.
- Business Intelligence: Design and implement systems for generating actionable business intelligence, including data analysis and reporting.
- IT Infrastructure: Assess and improve the IT infrastructure and systems, planning for future needs and ensuring network security and disaster recovery plans are in place.
- Cyber Security: Develop and implement security policies and procedures, conduct regular audits and risk assessments, and stay updated on security trends and best practices.
- Leadership: Provide leadership to the IT team, fostering a positive team culture, prioritizing employee development, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Staff Management: Manage a multi-location team, ensuring clear understanding of roles and responsibilities, supporting employee growth, and administering internal policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of technology management experience, including 5+ years of staff management and mentoring.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP protocols.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data modeling software, ERP systems, and security tools.
- Familiarity with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
