JOB DUTIES:

• 2+ years of carpentry, finish carpentry, and/or woodworking experience
• Combine, incorporate, and work with different wood and materials
• Meet project/product standards and specifications daily
• Use advanced tools and equipment to produce wood products
• Attach parts and subassemblies together to form completed units using glue, dowels, nails, screws, and/or clamps
• Cut wood to the right size and shape and trim parts of joints to ensure a snug fit, using hand tools such as planes, chisels, or wood files
• Shape and assemble parts based on blueprints, drawings and written instructions
• Measure and mark dimensions of parts prior to cutting
• Set up and operate machines including power saws, jointers, mortisers, tenoners, molders, and shapers to cut, mold, and shape wood
• Trim, sand, and scape surfaces and joints to prepare articles for finishing
• Verify dimensions and check qualify and fit of pieces
• Program computers to operate machinery
