Qualifications:

Requirements"
- Demonstrable experience of responsibility for the network development on at least one commercial game
- Advanced understanding in C/C++ and C#
- An advanced understanding of the main gaming platforms and the requirements needed to
develop software on them - A good understanding of game technology principles
- An advance understanding and knowledge of modern game network architectures
- Experience defining, designing, implementing, and supporting production process for
creative software teams - Unreal and / or Unity engine experience
- Hands-on experience with at least one commercial network framework (Photon, uNet, DOTS-Netcode, SpatialOS, UE Dedicated Server)
- A broad range of knowledge and experience with the full network stack from low level UDP
through to simple REST services - Incorporating third party systems to fulfil game requirements
Understanding of anti-cheat solutions for networked games
Bonus Requirements
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with online services and online service frameworks (Playfab, GameSparks)
Responsibilities:
- Development of our networked and online components on a game project using Unreal Engine
- Advising game technical and content teams and evangelizing good network processes
- Write clean, professional, and maintainable code
- Integrating networking features with other game subsystems
- Assisting with general gameplay programming when required
- Identify bugs and issues and suggest solutions to mitigate problems
- Continuous refinement and optimization of existing code
- Accurately schedule tasks and complete them on time, with an understanding of and appreciation for milestones, schedules, deadlines, and efficient development processes
- Documenting network implementations in company knowledge base
- Support and contribute to new ideas to game design and implement proof of concept.
