Supervise the activities of the Engineering Contractor’s Instrumentation and Control engineering Team and coordinate with Project team to ensure that the assigned project meets its objectives.
Provide engineering input to the following technical documents :
Scope of work / services for new facilities and for modifications to existing facilities.
Engineering packages, including specifications, datasheets, drawings etc.
Material requisitions as part of purchase requisitions for new equipment if any
Consultant / Engineer / Contractor / Vendor documentation reviews. ]
Review the design works and studies performed by Engineering Contractor and ensure that they are in accordance with the technical requirements. Review and approve drawings, specifications and technical documents.
Proficient with Instrumentation and Control engineering design standards related to the oil and gas industry and relevant International Standards.
Liase with other I&C team members for ICCS and Telecom.
Adhere to Company Engineering Specifications, Procedures and Philosophies.
Participate and contribute in various workshops e.g. Design reviews, HAZOP, SIL etc.
Participate in Consultant / Engineer / Contractor / Vendor pre-qualification technical audits.
Participate as Company representative specialist on Instrumentation and Control inspection and performance testing (FAT).
Supervise and check the interfaces with other disciplines such as Process, Piping, Health & Safety, Civil Telecommunication and Mechanical engineering.
Support the resolution of site Construction/Commissioning queries and visit sites as required to achieve so.]
Work in line with Company HSE policy.
The candidates should have working knowledge of legacy Rockwell AB control logix systems.
Should possess knowledge of Configuration, logic development etc using PLC 5 software.G
Good experience in Safety systems including ICS triplex, Triconex, FSC/SM will be an added advantage. .
Participate in implementation of the Project Risks Management Plan if any.
Keeps updated with latest technological developments within the Instrumentation & Control field.
Guide, direct, coach and develop junior team members to perform to their best potential and work effectively together as a team.
Qualifications
Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline
At least 10 Years plus experience with instrumentation in the Oil & Gas environment
Experience FEED, Detail design and EPC projects.
Fully coherent in all international codes and standards.
Excellent command of both spoken and written English is required
