Job Description
Black & Grey HR is recruiting for one of the leading businesses with multiple business units across the Middle East.Our client is looking to hire an experienced Finance Director with 8 to 10+ years of financial leadership experiencehandling strategic financial planning and analysis while driving automation and process improvements.
The ideal candidate should have experience interacting collaboratively with other business leaders, executive leadership team, as well as external adviser and investors on a regular basis.
- To simplify the overall planning process and offer improved reporting functionality, manage the adoption of a budgeting/forecasting solution.
- Ensure the effectiveness of the planning, budgeting, and management reporting processes across all business units.
- Performing corporate valuations, due diligence, and other financial analyses as needed to support M&A projects.
- Using performance measurement, assist the groups capital allocation decisions.
- By automating and streamlining the flow of data, work with the Digital, Data, and other teams from throughout the organisation to improve forecasting and analytics.
- Enhance the insights offered by the financial teams by including predictive and prescriptive insights in addition to those that are largely descriptive and diagnostic.
- Create financial models for start-ups, established companies, as well as sporadic investment projects.
- Finance data governance (own the flow of data and data sources used by all finance teams).
- Automate routine and special management reports while encouraging the finance department to adopt data visualisation software.
- Prepare a benchmark study to guide improvement across business units and improve business decisions.
- Identify the micro- and macro-economic variables that have an impact on our firm and make sure they are monitored and used in our strategic planning process.
Requirements
- Proven experience as Director of Finance or comparable position.
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting and corporate finance rules, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong skills in financial forecasting and analysis.
- Competent with Microsoft Office and financial management programmes (e.g. SAP).
- A BSc or BA in accounting, finance, or a related discipline; an MSc or MA is preferred.
- CPA, CFA, or another pertinent degree is preferred.
- Possessing practical knowledge of financial and statistical software.
