Job Description
- Preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses according to federal, state, and local tax laws
- Reviewing tax returns for accuracy and identifying issues that may require additional research or explanation to the client
- Preparing tax returns for individuals, families, and businesses by calculating tax liability based on income and deductions
- Reviewing financial records and other documents to determine taxable income for individuals or businesses
- Researching tax laws to determine how new legislation impacts existing laws and planning strategies accordingly
- Preparing reports and documentation of tax filings and results to support audits and appeals
- Coordinating with other members of the accounting team to ensure that all work meets professional standards
- Preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses according to federal, state, and local tax laws
- Communicating with clients to answer questions about their tax obligations and provide advice about how to meet those obligations
