Responsibilities:
• To manage in the absence of the Safety and Security Manager the department according to the established standards providing a safe, secure, courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following Hotel Standards of Performance.
• Follow all company policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of reports/documents, release information only to authorized individuals.
• Report all accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions in timely manner.
• To maintain legible and accurate records of all documents to include Security Log, incident report, Key Control, Lost and Found and Visitor Passes.
• To continuously maintain and service all equipment related, or assigned, to the security department, as specified in equipment manuals.
• To be flexible with work hours, regardless of time, during day, or night, in order to personally facilitate security arrangements of cases that require special treatment and handling.
• To handle guest and associates inquiries and report complaints or problems to Safety and Security Manager if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests.
• To provide access, when required, to high-risk areas, exercising vigilance for the protection of assets and to secure the area when access is no longer required.
• To control access to crime/natural disaster scenes in order to preserve evidence while awaiting the arrival of authorities
• To continuously monitor installed safety systems for emergency readiness and to patrol public areas, restaurants, guest floors, offices, plant rooms and all other areas of the hotel.
