Job Description

Job Description
  • Supervision and development of all facility related teams including security, repairs, housekeeping and catering.
  • Conduct regular building inspections to ensure health and safety compliance and an excellent standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Arrange necessary repairs timeously when required.
  • Ensuring Tecom and Civil Defence standards are met and maintained.
  • Maintaining the security of the building and handling any emergency alarms as required.
  • Ensuring staff are kept informed of the emergency evacuation and health and safety procedures.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with facilities management, landlord security, Civil Defence and other authorities as necessary.
  • Plan and prepare employee work schedules, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
  • Monitor personnel requirements to maintain adequate staffing. This includes approving requests for vacation and leave requests, planning for emergencies and special events, assigning and transferring personnel to cover absences and vacations.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Instruct staff in work policies and procedures, and the use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Identify staff development and training needs and ensure that training is obtained, including adequate first aid and fire warden allocation.
  • Oversee the procurement of office facility supplies whilst ensuring best value.
  • Maintain and build on relationships with suppliers.
  • Maintain records, prepare reports, and compose correspondence relative to the work.
  • Develop and maintain office inventories including stock and office furniture/fixings etc.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Supplier liaison, inspection and evaluation of refurbishment projects.
  • Maintains building maintenance schedules for such trade activities as carpentry, electrical, masonry, painting, and plumbing.
Job Requirements:

  • 1-2 years experience in a facilities-based role.
  • Supervisory experience and strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional presentation, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimum or no supervision.
  • Computer Literacy.
