Hydraulic Technician - Offshore

Working Hours: 12 hrs. per day & 60/30 Rotation

Rotational air ticket during scheduled field break

Duties:

Check, service, repair and maintain all equipment.

Inspect and assess the hydraulic systems to determine the requirements for refurbishment, replacement, or repair.

Repair or replace defective and/or worn parts and components.

Attend daily site briefings.

Generate accurate Engineer Inspection reports of assets and equipment.

Log and report information in the maintenance job sheets.

Provide technical advice and assistance to all departments:

Liaise with Engineering Department to obtain necessary information to assist and build new equipment as required.

Liaise with other departments to promote suitable improvements to the process, assets, and equipment.

Instruct site based operational staff on the correct use and operation of an asset.

Source information from third party representatives as necessary

HSEQ ensure maintenance requirements are fully understood by:

Following all HSE procedures

Addressing any concerns and taking appropriate actions in conjunction with TWMA procedures

Attending monthly safety meetings with HSEQ personnel

Out of Hours Maintenance/Process Support Assistance:

Provide back-up assistance to other Maintenance personnel by mobile phone as required.

Offshore/Oversees Process Support supporting offshore operations:

Travelling offshore to check, service & repair equipment as required.

Be prepared to undertake medicals, vaccinations and training as required for offshore travel.

Requirements

Candidates must be locally available

Qualification(s) & Training (E Essential / P Preferred):

Higher National Certificate/ Diploma Level or equivalent technical qualification in related field (E)

Basic Offshore Survival Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET) (P)

Experience(s) (E Essential / P Preferred):

Minimum 3 or more years of total work experience in relevant field (E)

Servicing & maintaining hydraulic and mechanical equipment/machinery (E)

Preventive, predictive and corrective mechanical maintenance (E)

Ability to work well with staff at all Nationalities and levels (E)

Maintenance and overhauling of Centrifugal Pumps. (Single stage & multistage) (P)

Designing and building hydraulic circuitry (P)

Working with process equipment / heavy plant machinery (P)

Working within the oil & gas or energy industries (P)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies (E Essential / P Preferred):

Ability to work to a high standard at all times (E)

Ability to develop and follow Maintenance Instructions (E)

Excellent reading, written and verbal communication skills in English (E)

Adaptable, flexible, and positive attitude towards change (E)
