- The Foreman- Hydro blaster is an integral part of the production team in the Department. His duties will be to plan, organize and supervise hydro blasting activities as instructed by Supervisor in order to ensure timely delivery of projects, meeting quality, safety and productivity requirements.
- Perform duties as instructed by Department head/Supervisor/ Sr.foreman/ Line manager.
- Carryout out pre-task briefing based on the task risk assessment
- Carry out area inspection and assign manpower for the task.
- Ensure that the work carried out complies with international construction codes, project specifications, tender, work instructions, procedure and manuals as appropriate.
- Ensure people assigned are working safety.
- Monitor and prepare daily work progress report.
- Prepare night shift handover report.
- Proactive participation in identifying errors and effective reporting to supervisor
- Coordinate and liaise with DDW QC department, third party inspection agencies, Ship superintendents and Paint representatives to ensure adherence to related standards.
- Stop processes if they do not meet specified requirements, raise occurrence report, develop corrective and preventive action and ensure that rework is carried out to customer satisfaction.
- Should be conversant with applicable to blasting and coating standards.
- Attend training for activity required by the department.
Requirements
- Experience in Ship repair, New Building and Marine Field
- 2 years as foreman in hydroblasting activity
- Water Jetting Association (WJA) certified.
- Diploma in engineering or equivalent
