Medical Laboratory Technologist - Emirati National

Our client, a semi-government hospital, is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Technologist Emirati national, to be based in Abu Dhabi. For this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Analyzed full range of manual and automated test procedures in the given area
  
• Maintains quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced trouble shooting
  
• Calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures
  
• Monitoring quality control measures and protocols.
  
• Collected and processed blood and other body fluids of patients with strict implementation of patient identification
  
• Followed the standard operating procedure of the laboratory
  
• Checked and calibrated laboratory equipment to verify proper functioning
  
• Performed quality control prior to testing of patients sample
  
• Improved patient outcomes by ensuring prompt communication of critical results to physicians and/or nurses
  
• Updating monthly inventory for each section assigned
  
• Updating daily temperature monitoring for the following equipment: dry bath, water bath, refrigerators.
  

Requirements

To be considered, you need to meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or clinical laboratory science or an equivalent qualification requiring not less than 3 years training course
  
• Health Authority Abu Dhabi License as Medical technologist is preferred
  
• ASCP/AMT certification preferred
  
• Willing to be based in Abu Dhabi
