Job Description

- * Responsible for fabricated materials conforming to drawings, shop standards, specifications and applicable codes.
- * Collaborate with fabrication teams helping with interpretation of codes, drawings and specifications
- * Regularly report product quality information and feedback to management team and fabrication team for company quality improvement.
- * Review and approve release of fabrication drawings for compliance to ASME Code and QA/QC related matters.
- * Responsible for all in-process, hold point inspections.
- * Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials.
- * Maintain QA/QC logs and records for welding procedures, welders' qualifications, calibration of inspection equipment, instruments, and gauges.
- * Ability to accurately inspect welds. Measure parts and steel framing based on fabrication drawings.
- * Perform dimensional and visual inspection of shop fabrication, which includes final paint inspections, weld preparations and final welds.
- * Record and maintain in-process and final inspection records for quality assurance and production control.
- * Inform Fabrication foremen of defects and help identify workable solutions
- * Create shipping tickets that include all quality documentation
