Saudi Industrial Development Company (SIDC) was established in 1992. Headquartered in Jeddah, it operates within the 'Consumer Durables and Apparel' sector focusing on home furnishings. It operates through its five subsidiaries spreads across the kingdom. The company was initiated with the purpose of serving the industrial sector by establishing industrial projects. Through its subsidiaries, it also manufactures ceramic products, pillows, mattresses etc. SIDC has established projects in various industries such aspetrochemicals, ceramics, food industry, salt and artificial rubber products. The company manufactures various fillers; sanitary ware and bathtubs; fabrics; car covers and cushions, polyester seats; and metal and wooden furniture. It is also involved in the wholesale and retail trade of cement, gypsum, and natural marbles; industrial tubes, pipes, kitchens, ceramic, porcelain products, carpets, rugs, mattresses, harms, pillows, bed sheets, bedspreads, blankets, quilts, and sleeping accessories. In addition, the company engages in general contracting works of roads, streets, bridges, tunnels, rails, and airports; the wholesale and retail trade of food, juices, and soft drinks, as well as equipment maintenance and electrical engineering. SIDC also provides different kinds of services such as refrigeration services;oil and laboratory geometric marine; passenger transport, freight and storage services; land and sea transport; and air freight services. The subsidiaries of SIDC include: Sleep High, Casa Via, SIDC Trading Investment Company and SIDC Projects Investment Company.
