Senior Technical Coordinator Materials Engineer – MEP (Mechanical)

Were recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction main contractor in the UAE for a Senior MEP Technical Coordinator cum Materials Engineer to drive technical submittals material approvals and consultant coordination across major building projects.

What youll do

• Review and coordinate MEP shop drawings material submittals method statements and technical documentation
• Prepare and track technical submissions RFIs and material approval requests (MAR/MAS) through to approval
• Get material technical and engineering approvals from Consultants and Clients
• Resolve engineering and design issues with Consultants Clients and internal project teams
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority requirements including Dubai Municipality Civil Defence (DCD) DEWA and applicable codes and standards
• Act as the technical link between site execution design and procurement for HVAC plumbing drainage and fire fighting systems

What were looking for

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Solid UAE experience with a main contractor or MEP contractor in a technical office submittals or materials engineering role
• Strong knowledge of mechanical materials equipment and installations (chillers AHUs FCUs pumps ductwork piping fire protection)
• Proven track record obtaining consultant approvals and handling technical queries
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Revit MEP HAP/Carrier Navisworks or similar mechanical design software
• Familiarity with ASHRAE NFPA SMACNA and UAE Fire & Life Safety Code
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Available to join immediately or on short notice (strong preference)
