Senior Procurement Engineer

Al Madina Agencies & Services LLC, a key player in the Oil and Gas industry, is seeking a skilled Senior Procurement Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Procurement Engineer specializing in mechanical oil and gas, you will be responsible for managing the complete procurement process for heavy mechanical equipment, valves, and piping materials. Working in both onshore and offshore environments, you will collaborate with engineering design teams, vendors, and project schedules to ensure adherence to industry standards like ASME and API.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the sourcing, technical assessment, and commercial acquisition of heavy mechanical equipment, valves, and piping materials.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to align procurement activities with project requirements.

- Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as ASME and API.

- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and enhance efficiency.

- Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements & Skills:

- Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement within the Oil and Gas industry.

- Proficient in sourcing heavy mechanical equipment, valves, and piping materials.

- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful contract management.

- In-depth knowledge of industry standards like ASME and API.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with internal and external stakeholders effectively.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.

- Experience working in both onshore and offshore procurement environments.
