Job Description:
People Hive is supporting a client in the search for an experienced Safety Manager to establish implement and maintain an effective Safety Management System (SMS) within an aerospace design organisation developing uncrewed aerial systems (UAS).
The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing for and maintaining Design Organisation Approval (DOA) under the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) framework identifying hazards managing safety risks overseeing mitigation actions and promoting a strong safety culture across engineering airworthiness and flight test operations.
Critical Requirements
- Relevant degree in Aerospace Engineering Engineering Aviation Management Safety or equivalent aviation safety experience
- Demonstrated experience managing a Safety Management System (SMS) or an equivalent safety risk management framework
- Background in aviation aerospace flight testing UAS or other high-reliability engineering environments
- Strong knowledge of hazard identification and structured risk assessment techniques such as FMEA Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Bowtie analysis
Important Requirements
- Experience with safety governance safety performance monitoring and management reporting
- Understanding of design organisation activities certification configuration changes and flight test safety
- Experience conducting occurrence investigations and implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Excellent technical documentation reporting and traceability skills
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
Nice to Have
- Experience developing safety training and promoting human factors awareness

Our client is an aerospace design organisation focused on developing uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) operating within the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) framework.
