Job summary:
The Radiologist at Metabolic will provide diagnostic imaging services to support the management and treatment of diabetes and related endocrine disorders. The role involves using advanced imaging modalities to ensure accurate diagnosis working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care and contributing to the clinics mission of providing innovative and integrated healthcare services.

Key responsibilities:
Diagnostic Imaging and Interpretation:
Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays ultrasounds and DEXA scans relevant to diabetes and metabolic health.
Provide timely and accurate radiological reports to guide clinical decision-making for diabetes and endocrine disorders.
Conduct ultrasound-guided procedures such as thyroid fine-needle aspiration biopsies when required.

Clinical Collaboration:
Collaborate with endocrinologists primary care physicians and other specialists to correlate imaging findings with clinical symptoms and laboratory results.
Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions to support comprehensive patient care.
Patient Care and Education:
Communicate imaging findings to referring physicians and when necessary to patients in a clear and professional manner.
Provide patient education regarding imaging procedures ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the process.

Quality Assurance and Safety:
Ensure the highest standards of imaging quality and patient safety adhering to international radiological guidelines.
Supervise the operation and maintenance of imaging equipment ensuring compliance with DHA regulations and clinic protocols.
Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety practices to protect patients and staff.
Administrative and Training Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and updating imaging protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
Provide training and mentorship to junior staff or technicians as needed.

Research and Innovation:
Engage in clinical research related to diabetes care and imaging techniques.
Stay abreast of advancements in radiology and diabetes-related imaging to integrate cutting-edge practices into the clinic.

Understands follows and supports all hospital infection control programs


Requirements
Education and Licensure:
Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Radiology.
Valid DHA license or eligibility to practice as a Specialist Radiologist in Dubai UAE.

Experience:
Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in diagnostic radiology preferably with a focus on endocrine or metabolic conditions.
Proficiency in advanced imaging techniques such as ultrasound and DEXA scans.

Technical Skills:
Expertise in operating and interpreting advanced imaging systems and software.
Strong analytical skills to correlate imaging findings with clinical presentations.

Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients and team members.
High attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.



Required Skills:

Essential Right to work in the UK available to start immediately. Previous experience in a healthcare clinical or patient facing support role. Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check. Up to date immunization record including Hepatitis B. Strong communication skills and a calm professional manner with patients. Comfortable working flexible shifts to support clinic opening hours. Desirable Level 3 NVQ or Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent. Phlebotomy or venepuncture certification. Training can be arranged for the right candidate. Experience in diabetes metabolic health or a private healthcare setting. Familiarity with electronic patient record systems. Role Scope & Boundaries The Healthcare Assistant owns patient preparation observations support room readiness and day to day coordination with reception and clinicians. This role does not make clinical or diagnostic decisions which remain with the treating clinician and does not set clinic policy or compliance standards. Any change to clinical protocol or patient safety procedure must be reviewed and approved by the clinical lead before it is used. The Healthcare Assistants early experience on the ground is expected to inform how future clinical support roles are structured as the London site grows without this role owning that hiring or structure decision. Where patient data or confidentiality questions arise the final call sits with the clinics designated compliance and privacy lead not with this role.
