Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified Paediatric Neuropsychologist to join our team within the IT Services this pivotal role the successful candidate will apply advanced clinical expertise to assess diagnose and treat complex neurological and psychological conditions in children and adolescents. The position demands a deep understanding of developmental trajectories and cognitive functioning to support young patients in navigating challenges related to learning behavior and brain health. This role is essential for delivering comprehensive care that bridges the gap between neurological science and psychological intervention ensuring that every patient receives a tailored treatment plan that fosters their long-term well-being and developmental potential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough neuropsychological evaluations to diagnose developmental disorders learning disabilities and cognitive impairments in pediatric populations.
- Administer and interpret a wide range of standardized psychological and neuropsychological assessment tools to generate accurate clinical profiles.
- Prepare detailed professional reports documenting assessment findings diagnostic impressions and evidence-based treatment recommendations for healthcare providers and families.
- Facilitate parent counseling sessions to explain complex diagnostic results guide families through intervention strategies and provide emotional support.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including physicians educators and therapists to coordinate holistic care plans for patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) ADHD and other developmental conditions.
- Monitor patient progress over time and adjust therapeutic interventions as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain strict adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality protocols in all clinical interactions and documentation.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience specifically in paediatric neuropsychology or a closely related clinical field.
- Proven expertise in assessing and managing conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and various learning disabilities.
- Strong proficiency in administering cognitive and neuropsychological assessments including the ability to select appropriate tools based on the childs specific needs.
- Excellent written communication skills with a demonstrated history of producing clear comprehensive and clinically sound assessment reports.
- Ability to provide empathetic and effective counseling to parents and caregivers regarding diagnosis and management strategies.
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare environments to deliver integrated patient care.
- Deep knowledge of developmental disorders and the latest evidence-based practices in paediatric neuropsychology.
