MEP Technical Director – Data Centres

Egis is building its data centre capability across the UAE and wider MESA region. We are seeking a Technical Director to lead the technical direction of that emerging practice - setting standards leading major bids and acting as our senior technical authority on mission-critical work. Reporting to the Regional Director - MEP this is a leadership role with real scope to shape a practice from the ground up backed by the reach and resources of a global consultancy.

What Youll Do

• Provide technical leadership and sign-off authority across all data centre projects in the region
• Define and maintain MEP/ELV design standards and delivery frameworks for mission-critical work
• Lead technical input on major bids and proposals across the MESA region
• Build and mentor a specialist data centre team within a 400 strong MEP/ELV practice
• Engage with clients hyperscalers EPCs and authorities at Director level
• Drive innovation across BIM parametric design and AI-assisted workflows
• Represent Egis externally as the data centre practice establishes its market presence

Qualifications :

• 15 years of MEP engineering experience with a significant portion in data centre or mission-critical environments
• Demonstrable experience at Technical Director Associate Director or equivalent level
• Deep expertise across data centre MEP/ELV systems: HV/LV generators UPS precision cooling EPMS DCIM and ICT infrastructure
• Familiarity with Uptime Institute TIA-942 and EN 50600 requirements
• Strong commercial awareness across fee negotiation scope definition and risk management
• Degree-qualified with Chartered Engineer status (CEng or regional equivalent) required
• GCC experience preferred; UAE track record a strong advantage
