The Mechanical & Piping Estimator prepares accurate competitive and well-qualified cost estimates for the mechanical equipment piping tankage and pipeline scopes of EPC / EPCC tenders for oil & gas refinery petrochemical and gas-processing projects across the Middle East and North Africa.

What you will need to do:

• Perform and verify quantity take-offs from equipment lists P&IDs line lists piping isometrics MTOs GA drawings and equipment / piping layouts; where FEED is limited develop quantities from benchmarks ratios and historical data.
• Identify scope gaps ambiguities and risks and prepare technical queries and clarifications for the client.
• Develop detailed estimates for the entire Mechanical Piping & Pipelines works.
• Build unit rates from first principles (labour plant materials subcontract) using welding and erection productivity norms adjusted for Middle East conditions summer working-hour restrictions remote desert sites and logistics.
• Prepare manpower histograms crane and heavy-lift requirements and durations and provide inputs to planning site indirects and fabrication-yard planning.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
• 57 years of estimating experience in EPC Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical projects preferably with at least 3 years in the GCC.
• Strong ability to read and interpret:
  • Equipment lists and data sheets
  • P&IDs and line lists
  • Piping isometrics and MTOs
  • GA drawings equipment and piping layouts
• Quantity take-off and BOQ preparation to client methods of measurement and industry norms (inch-dia inch-metre tonnage).
• First-principles rate build-up productivity analysis and resource loading.
• Good knowledge of the Middle East market for pipe
• Quantity extraction from 3D models (Navisworks E3D / S3D review).
• Knowledge of piping materials (CS SS duplex GRE) and welding / PWHT requirements.
• Awareness of civil and E&I interfaces with the mechanical scope.
