Joinery Draftsman

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Joinery Draftsman to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed technical drawings, shop drawings, and production drawings for bespoke joinery and high-end interior fit-out projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of joinery detailing and construction methods, along with excellent proficiency in AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings, production drawings, and fabrication details based on approved designs and project requirements.
• Develop detailed drawings for custom joinery elements, including doors, wall panelling, wardrobes, cabinets, feature walls, counters, and other bespoke joinery works.
• Interpret architectural, interior design, and consultant drawings and convert design concepts into practical production drawings.
• Prepare accurate plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction/fabrication drawings.
• Coordinate drawings with the design, production, site, and project teams.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, approved materials, dimensions, and design requirements.
• Incorporate revisions and comments from clients, consultants, designers, and project teams.
• Coordinate drawings with site conditions and take necessary dimensions/details when required.
• Prepare drawings suitable for CNC production and factory fabrication where applicable.
• Maintain proper drawing standards, revision control, and project documentation.
• Work closely with joinery engineers, production teams, quantity surveyors, and site engineers to resolve technical and fabrication issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in joinery drafting/detailing.
• Graduate / Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of joinery construction, materials, fabrication methods, and installation requirements.
• Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Ability to produce accurate and detailed shop drawings and production drawings.
• Good understanding of dimensions, sections, elevations, material specifications, and construction details.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under project deadlines.

Preferred / Good to Have

• Experience with TopSolid or other 3D joinery/CAD software.
• Knowledge of SketchUp.
• Experience working on high-end residential, luxury villa, hospitality, or premium interior fit-out projects.
• Knowledge of CNC-based joinery production and fabrication workflows.
• Experience coordinating directly with factory production teams.
