Interventional Cardiology Consultant

As an Interventional Cardiology Consultant you will specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases using minimally invasive procedures and advanced catheterbased techniques. You will provide expert interventional cardiology care to patients focusing on coronary artery disease structural heart disease and peripheral vascular disease. Your expertise will contribute to improving patient outcomes enhancing quality of life and advancing the field of interventional cardiology within our institution.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with cardiovascular disorders including angina acute coronary syndrome valvular heart disease and peripheral artery disease.
  
• Perform detailed clinical evaluations review diagnostic tests and interpret imaging studies to accurately diagnose cardiac conditions and determine appropriate treatment strategies.
  
• Perform a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures including coronary angiography percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) coronary stent placement balloon valvuloplasty transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and peripheral artery interventions.
  
• Utilize advanced imaging modalities such as intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) optical coherence tomography (OCT) and fractional flow reserve (FFR) to optimize procedural planning and outcomes.
  
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including cardiac surgeons electrophysiologists imaging specialists and cardiac rehabilitation providers to coordinate comprehensive care for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
  
• Provide preprocedural counseling and education to patients and their families regarding interventional cardiology procedures risks benefits and postprocedural care instructions.
  
• Participate in oncall coverage schedules to provide timely evaluation and management of acute cardiac emergencies such as STsegment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and highrisk unstable angina.
  
• Engage in clinical research and scholarly activities to advance the understanding of interventional cardiology techniques outcomes and innovations contributing to the academic mission of the institution.
  
• Mentor and supervise trainees including cardiology fellows residents and allied healthcare professionals in the performance of interventional cardiology procedures and patient care.
  
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of procedural details patient outcomes and followup care in electronic medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.
