Fabrication Engineer

Al Madina Agencies & Services LLC, a prominent player in the Oil and Gas industry based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is seeking a Fabrication Engineer to join their team. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing, assembly, and quality control of heavy steel structures, pressure vessels, skids, and piping systems, ensuring compliance with rigorous energy industry standards. This role plays a crucial part in bridging engineering design concepts with practical workshop and field execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze shop drawings, isometric piping sketches, and engineering blueprints for technical feasibility and constructability.

- Direct daily fabrication, fit-up, assembly, and erection of oil and gas components like modules, jackets, and pressure equipment.

- Ensure compliance with international oil and gas codes such as ASME (Section VIII, B31.3), API, ISO, and local operator specifications.

- Collaborate with welding engineers and QC teams to review Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS) and manage weld maps.

- Oversee Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) processes to maintain quality standards.

- Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, and procurement teams to ensure project milestones are met effectively.

Requirements & Skills:

- Minimum 8 years of experience in fabrication engineering within the oil and gas sector.

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

- Strong knowledge of welding processes, procedures, and standards.

- Familiarity with industry regulations and quality control procedures.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Proven track record of managing fabrication projects from conception to completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Professional certification in welding or fabrication.

- Advanced training in project management methodologies.

- Experience working on both onshore and offshore projects.
