- Lead and perform complex urological surgical procedures including but not limited to prostatectomy cystectomy nephrectomy and robotic-assisted surgery.
- Provide expert clinical assessment diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with benign and malignant urological conditions.
- Supervise and mentor junior surgical staff trainees and medical students in clinical and operative settings.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients with urological cancers and complex pathologies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols guidelines and quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in audit and research activities including participation in clinical trials and publication of outcomes data.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies surgical techniques and advancements in urology.
- Act as a clinical lead for specific service lines within urology ensuring operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with allied health professionals including radiologists oncologists and pathologists to deliver integrated care.
- Represent the department in professional forums accreditation processes and external partnerships.
- Fellowship or equivalent certification in Urology Surgery from a recognized medical board or institution.
- Specialist registration with the relevant medical council (e.g. GMC AMB or equivalent).
- Minimum of $experienceyears years of post-fellowship clinical experience in urological surgery.
- Proven expertise in both open and minimally invasive urological procedures including robotic surgery (e.g. da Vinci platform).
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex urological conditions such as prostate bladder kidney and testicular cancers.
- Strong leadership and teaching abilities with experience in supervising trainees and delivering formal education.
- Active involvement in clinical research audit or publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and teamwork skills with a patient-first approach.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to ethical and clinical governance standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a high-pressure clinical environment.
Required Skills:
Requirements: MBBS or equivalent medical degree with full registration and licensure to practice in the relevant jurisdiction. Completion of advanced surgical training with a recognized fellowship in Vascular Surgery. Minimum of 5 years of post-fellowship experience in a clinical vascular surgery role. Proven track record in performing a wide range of open and endovascular vascular procedures with excellent clinical outcomes. Strong leadership and teaching abilities with experience in training and supervising surgical teams. Demonstrated involvement in clinical research publications or presentations at national/international conferences. Excellent communication interpersonal and decision-making skills with a patient-first approach. Proficiency in using electronic medical records and surgical documentation systems. Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to ethical medical practice. Willingness to participate in on-call duties and emergency surgical coverage as required.
