CNC Machinist (DMG, Mazak, Integrex)

Job Summary

The CNC Machinist produces machined parts by programming setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine and is responsible for maintaining part quality safety standards & company equipments.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITY & AUTHORITY:-

• Follow all safety rules and policies provided by NOV.
• Produce/Machine threaded Connections & parts as per the provided drawing and program.
• Inspect and verify that each thread & part is generated as per the provided specification.
• Follow all the guidelines provided by the Superintendent.
• Maintain a neat and dean working environment.
• Responsible for all company equipments care use and protection. Know understand and follow all company and department safety rules.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent.
• Perform job duties accurately and responsibly. Verify part and work order.

BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:-

• Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments.
• Study First article parts drawings and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to Machining products and determine product dimensions and tolerances.
• Math Skills: Good math skills will help CNC machinists understand complex instructions w schematics work and ensure items are designed and built correctly.
• Problem-Solving Skills: - CNC machinists will need to know why machines are not at peak performance how to increase output and how to fix errors.
• Attention to Detail: - CNC machinists will work with precision equipment. Being off by millimeters & Inches (Thousandth of an inch.) could be a critical error. Keen attention to detail is required.
• Mechanical and Technical Skills: - Machines controlled by computers will need operators who understand CAD/CAM technology.
• Stamina: - CNC machinists often work long hours doing repetitive movements.
• Conceptual Skills: - Process Improvement Verbal Communication Functional and Technical Skills Tooling Coordination Attention to Detail and Judgment.

Qualifications (Education/No. of Years of Experience) :-

• Industrial / Manufacturing Diploma post-High School or vocational training courses in mechanical engineering with 2 years of experience.
• Work experience in Turner Machinist and Fitter trades.
• Experience:-
• DMG Beta & Gamma
• Mazak Machines (ST450 STN500/550M)
• ROMI Machine (M33 M43)
• Doosan (Puma700LM DBC130L).
• Oil & Gas experience in the manufacturing field.

Skills Training special knowledge and/or Language skills:-

• Candidate must be familiar with operating a CNC machine on Rotatory Shoulder Connections (API Grant Prideco Tenaris Vam etc.) and HWDP (Drill pipe Drill Collars and Drill Stem Components).
