Knowledge & Experience Essential

• Awareness of the standards of record keeping
• Understanding of the impact of disability on children and their families.
• Understanding of speech and language therapy
• Experience of working with IT, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Teams
• Experience of working as part of a team
  

Desirable

• Previous experience of a variety of communication systems e.g. Makaton, Picture Exchange Communication System
• Previous experience of working with children
• Previous experience of working in a health environment
• Previous experience of developing resources to support childrens' development
  

Skills and Aptitudes Essential

• Good communicator skills including use of tact and persuasion
• Able to work well within a team
• Good organisational and planning skills
• Good I.T. skills e.g creation of word documents and inputting data into spreadsheets
• High level of interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with support
• Understanding of confidentiality
• Able to set up and host Microsoft Teams meetings
