ملخص الوظيفة
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Child Life Therapist to join our clients team in Abu Dhabi. This role is based within one of the UAE s largest government-affiliated healthcare networks renowned for its patient-centered approach and specialized pediatric care services. The Child Life Therapist will play a vital role in supporting children and their families as they cope with hospitalization illness and medical procedures by providing emotional support therapeutic play and age-appropriate education.. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide counseling and psychosocial support to patients and families dealing with medical emotional and social challenges.
- Assess patients social emotional and financial needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Act as a liaison between patients families healthcare providers and community resources.
- Support families in coping with long-term illnesses rehabilitation and end-of-life care.
- Assist in discharge planning and coordinate post-hospitalization services.
- Advocate for patients rights ensuring they receive adequate support and resources.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments interventions and referrals.
- Conduct awareness and educational sessions as part of holistic healthcare delivery.
- Adhere to ethical standards confidentiality and cultural sensitivity at all times.
Requirements
To be considered you need to meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Child Life Psychology Counseling or related field.
- Certification as a Child Life Specialist (CCLS) or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Valid UAE healthcare professional license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a pediatric hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and pediatric psychosocial care.
- Excellent communication counseling and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate culturally sensitive care to children and families.
