Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our cost team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to develop their quantity surveying expertise within a dynamic construction environment. The successful candidate will support the senior quantity surveying team in delivering accurate cost management and financial control across our project portfolio.

• Prepare and analyse cost estimates budgets and financial forecasts for construction projects Assist in the preparation of tender documentation bills of quantities and specification schedules Monitor and report on project costs identifying variances and recommending corrective actions
• Maintain accurate cost records and project documentation in accordance with organisational standards Liaise with contractors consultants and clients to gather cost-related information and clarifications Support the cost team in contract administration and procurement activities
• Utilise cost management software to input track and analyse project financial data Conduct site visits to verify quantities and assess project progress against cost plans Assist in the preparation of cost reports and presentations for project stakeholders Contribute to continuous improvement of cost management processes and procedures Ensure compliance with UAE building regulations and industry best practices

Qualifications :

**Required Skills & Experience:**

• 23 years experience in quantity surveying cost management or related construction roles Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles practices and methodologies Proficiency in cost estimation and cost planning techniques Competency with cost management software (e.g. Elecosoft Causeway or similar platforms)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel Thorough understanding of construction contracts procurement and tender processes Excellent numerical accuracy and analytical capability Strong organisational and time-keeping skills Effective communication and people skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment **Desirable Skills & Experience:**
• Experience working on construction projects in the Middle East or UAE Familiarity with UAE building codes regulations and construction standards Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) and cost modelling software Knowledge of tender documentation and cost benchmarking practices Professional quantity surveying qualification or membership with a recognised body
