THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts and Payroll Manager to join a dynamic entrepreneurial and fastmoving broking environment. The role sits within a small global Finance team in our Dubai office and is ideal opportunity for an experienced Accounts and Payroll professional looking for the next step in their career. The role is offered on a parttime basis of approximately 3 days per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for processing & payment of supplier invoices and accounts receivable
Administration and reconciliation of corporate bank accounts
Recording of invoices and related financial data to the correct accounts and cost centres adhering to strict monthend/yearend close deadlines
Resolve purchase order contract invoice or payment discrepancies.
Reconcile vendor account statements and related transactions.
Process and review employee expense reports including training relevant personnel and ensuring adherence to policy.
Process payroll for employees in Dubai office identifying areas for improvement
Collaborate with Finance HR and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations and proactively resolve any payrollrelated issues.
Ensure adherence to company policies respond to all audit queries in a timely manner
Maintain historical records by scanning and filing all documents.
Deal with incoming communication relating to the Finance Department
Complete any mandatory training required by the company by required deadlines.
Perform any other reasonable duties the company may require.
Adhere to strict governance and controls that are in place; suggest areas / processes for improvement.
Competencies
Good knowledge of multiple A/P subledgers and multicurrency transactions essential
Financial Services industry experience and understanding of the markets in which the company operates preferred
Team oriented; works well with others and diverse groups / personalities essential.
Proven administrative experience within Finance essential
Excellent Excel skills and comfortable manipulating large quantities of data deep knowledge of AccountsIQ essential
First class attention to detail; Ability to multitask and manage time effectively; manages expectations essential
Familiarity with accounting software essential
Educated to degree level with BSc degree in Finance Accounting or Economics essential
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build levels across business essential
Maintains 100% confidentiality at all times essential
Excellent written and verbal communication excellent numerical skills essential
Willingness and capability to learn all functionalities inhouse system Trade Manager essential
Proficiency in UAE labor law with a solid understanding of endofservice calculations essential
Maintain uptodate knowledge of payroll best practice labor regulations and compliance requirements essential
